Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, songwriter and actress. One of her most well-known roles includes Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' the comedy television show. However, she's primarily musician. She says that music was always her first passion. At the age 12 she was taking serious enough about music to start training professionally. At the age of 13, she started writing her own music. The first album she released as a cover was released fourteen years later. And the rest is history. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic roots. She's proud of the reality that she is a native of Hispanic roots, even though she was raised speaking English exclusively and has never lived in Mexico. To preserve her heritage, she's learned Spanish and has written songs that are in Spanish. The most famous of these songs is "Hasta Verte," a song she composed in Spanish. The summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the debut season of The X Factor. Orrantia was awarded four "yeses" from the panel of judges on the Seattle live audition stage after getting selected based on her YouTube video submission. The first time she auditioned, she was an individual performer. However, following "Hollywood Week" and three other female performers were added to groups to take part in the auditions. The group was eliminated at final show.
