Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played her role. She did not pursue acting as a career until after she had reached adulthood, as her parents were afraid of the negative impact stress might be a cause of. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. She began acting at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, moved in New York in search of television roles. Her small part was on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness drove her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry starred with her mother on stage in The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In 2015, she starred together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. Perry was also featured in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal alongside her father. She played an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. She was cast in the role by auditioning for an open role despite being connected to this persona.
