Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. She did not consider a career in acting after reaching adulthood because her parents were worried about the detrimental impact stress might be a cause of. Perry confessed that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. However, she began acting to make friends in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she got small roles on shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness caused Perry her back home California which was where theatre jobs were available. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway with her in The Other Place, in 2013. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie together with her in 2015. Perry was in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, she starred in an recurring role in The ABC political thriller Scandal with her father. The same year, she played a young version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother in a youthful version. The character was chosen by auditions, even having a strong association with it.
