Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her writing and design. She is a proponent of animal rights. Her work has received acclaim for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). When she was in New York, she was born and raised into an creative family. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. Her first two movies her name was acknowledged and won her the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international success, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years MacGraw was ranked as the most popular female box-office participant in the entire world. In 1972, her foot-prints and autograph were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and other. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
